The 17th Asian Foundry Congress┃Asian Sci-Tech Youth Forum Selection & Outstanding Paper Award Activities Kicked Off

The 17th Asian Foundry Congress

The Asian Foundry Congress (AFC) has traversed over 30 glorious years since its inaugural event in Japan in 1992, leaving its mark in major foundry countries across Asia, including China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, India, Thailand, and Vietnam. In October 2025, the Foundry Institution of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES) will once again represent China in hosting the 17th Asian Foundry Congress in the historic city Xi'an. Focused on the theme of "Green Foundry, Innovative Asia," this congress will continue to write a new chapter for the Asian foundry industry and jointly chart a sustainable development blueprint for the foundry sector.

This congress invites industry professionals from around the world to submit papers and participate in the "17th Asian Foundry Congress Outstanding Paper Award" competition and  "Asian Science and Technology Youth Forum Selection and Recommendation Activities ". We sincerely invite foundry professionals to actively contribute and attend the congress.

The Asian Science and Technology Youth Forum is one of the sub-forums of the 17th Asian Foundry Congress. It aims to build an international platform for young scholars and professionals under the age of 40 in the Asian foundry field to exchange ideas and foster growth. The forum will provide young individuals with opportunities to showcase their talents, gain more resources and collaborations, stimulate innovative thinking, promote research output, help them overcome development bottlenecks, accelerate their career growth, and achieve greater personal value. At the same time, it will help reserve core talent for the advancement of foundry science and technology in Asia, build a healthy international cooperation ecosystem, and jointly address global challenges in foundry science and technology.

This year’s Asian Science and Technology Youth Forum will focus on themes such as innovative foundry technologies, digital and intelligent foundry, green foundry, and sustainable development. It will be conducted through a series of activities, including call for papers, regional selection and recommendation, on-site presentations, and outstanding youth paper awards. Ultimately, 30 young scientists and technicians from the Asian foundry field will present at the 17th Asian Foundry Congress, showcasing advanced foundry technologies and research achievements to the industry.
